Our Programs
Sustainable Aquaculture

Aquaculture is the fastest growing food production sector globally.

Farming of aquatic organisms requires involvement in the rearing or growing process of seaweeds, shellfish, finfish or plankton to enhance production for human consumption. It is estimated, in the absence of aquaculture, the wrold will face a seafood shortage of 50-80 million tonnes by 2030.

Aquaculture has been identified as an important economic priority for the Canadian and provincial governments and currently there are approximately 16,000 people employed in long-term sustainable positions within the Canadian aquaculture industry. There is a large demand for leaders and managers in the aquaculture industry across Canada and around the world. We can help you be one of them.
